A monumental shrimp taking shape in your hands

It all starts with a single sheet. Then another. And before long, the magic happens. This large-format 3D papercraft shrimp slowly comes together with care and precision, revealing a bold marine silhouette that feels surprisingly alive. Each volume fits into the next, every curve takes shape, and you watch a decorative statement piece emerge that never goes unnoticed.

Designed for creative minds who enjoy a challenge, this giant shrimp naturally finds its place as an original wall decoration, in a studio, or in any interior that dares to be different. If you appreciate expressive models and meticulous craftsmanship, you are exactly where you need to be.

Technical specifications

  • Final height: 580 mm
  • Final width: 684 mm
  • Depth: 114 mm
  • Number of pages: 21 sheets
  • Structure: wall-mounted assembly with back panel

The model is based on a precise color layout: the main body, legs, and rear wall are designed as separate elements, allowing you to play with contrasts and enhance the sense of depth. This smart breakdown gives the finished piece real visual impact, almost sculptural in appearance.

A demanding yet deeply rewarding project

This is not a quick build. The model requires patience, focus, and a genuine love for detail. Every single piece matters. That is exactly what makes the experience so satisfying. You progress step by step, take your time, and enjoy the moment when the shrimp finally looks ready to leap off the wall.

This design is part of the creations available in the Papercraft 3D Papercraftfreak collection, known for its bold shapes and ambitious constructions. A perfect choice if you enjoy papercraft models with real personality.

Once completed, your shrimp becomes much more than a simple paper object. It is a graphic artwork, a conversation starter, a personal achievement. And above all, proof that paper can be truly impressive.

Perfect tribute to my Peppermint shrimp, "Peggy Leggy" This pattern was very easy to follow and thanks to the cut-outs in the back pieces, a breeze to put together. I was happy to find that the model ended up being pretty large once assembled. It makes it feel more like modern art to me. I did have to use a hot glue gun to get the antennae and legs to stay on when hanging vertically because they ended up being comparatively heavy. That was no trouble though.
