Two kingfisher models, two creative experiences
Depending on your preference or the space you have available, two interpretations are offered. The first, more compact model measures 25 cm in height, 12 cm in width, and 30 cm in depth. It is assembled from 8 pages for a total of 50 pieces. A smooth, approachable build, ideal for a first experience.
The second model makes a stronger statement. With its 42 cm height, 27 cm width, and 34 cm depth, it commands attention without ever feeling bulky. This version is built from 12 pages and 62 pieces, offering a slightly longer yet always enjoyable assembly.
Play of colors and natural finish
The charm of this kingfisher also lies in its contrasts. Each model combines several carefully distributed shades: gray and white for the structure, orange for the breast, and blue or green for the plumage. The compact model spreads these tones across 8 multicolored pages. The large format develops them over 12 pages, resulting in an even more expressive finish.
An accessible and rewarding creative project
Both versions feature an easy difficulty level. The steps are clear, the pace feels natural. You fold, assemble, and watch the shape come to life piece by piece. A perfect project to slow down, focus, and finish with a creation that immediately draws the eye.
I already have experience in assembly, so it didn’t cause me any problem. It’s a very well-designed piece and the bird is magnificent once assembled. It was a pleasure to put it together !
My model worked perfectly. I loved it ! The instructions are brief, but should be enough. Also, nothing is specified about the glue, but a fast-drying transparent PVA is recommended to speed things up.
This superb self-supporting paper sculpture (I don’t know how to explain technically that it requires no support structure) is detailed and the instructions are easy to follow. I can’t wait to make it and get glue on my fingers! 🙂
